Our annual May competition is traditionally a fun, goofy end-of-season celebration. Climbers of all experience levels are welcome. Come test your strength, win prizes, and close out winter in style.

Location: The Ice Coop
(2500 47th Street, Suite 2, Boulder, CO)

Time: 8 AM to 4 PM
Theme: Prom!
Prerequisites: None! All you need is a completed waiver and some basic climbing knowledge. We’ll have competition routes available for all experience levels — from total beginner to seasoned expert.
Dress code: You’ll need gloves, ice tools, a helmet, and climbing shoes. (This is a rock shoe-only competition!) Helmet, glove, and tool rentals are available. Formalwear recommended but not required! Elaborate promposals required.
Competition Categories: We typically offer men’s, women’s, and nonbinary divisions. Prizes may also be awarded for best costume, most unbridled enthusiasm, and other categories.
How much does it cost?
If you sign up after May 1, you’ll pay the full registration price: $50. Sign up before May 1 and you’ll get our early bird pricing — and pay just $40! (Use code EARLYBIRD at checkout).
